Scott McMahon received his MFA in photography from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, MA and his BFA in Photography from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. His work has been published in Pinhole Photography, Rediscovering a Historic Technique  (2nd & 3rd Edition) by Eric Renner, The Book of Alternative Photographic Processes by Christopher James as well as Pinhole Journal Vol. 11, 12, 15 & 22. Scott has exhibited throughout the United States, recent exhibitions include: Forgotten Attributes, Three Columns Gallery at Harvard University (solo), The Bioluminescent Firefly Experiment, University City Arts League, PA (collaborative) and E3 Gallery in NY (solo). Scott works primarily with historic photographic techniques and is currently working on a series that incorporates video projections, machines, found objects, photographs and sound. From 1997-2000 Scott was Photography Department Head/Artist in Residence at Peters Valley Craft Center in Layton, NJ. In 2002 he curated Lightstruck - an Exhibition of Pinhole Photographs and Cameras at Emerge Gallery in Greenville, NC and was also recipient of a North Carolina Regional Project Grant.
